Get to know me.
I am a twenty-eight-year-old Puerto Rican artist. I was initially exposed to photography at the age of thirteen surprisingly during a swimming meet. My only focus on these swimming events was running away from them and, out of curiosity, I spent more time and energy on a digital camera borrowed from a swimming partner. I found an escape from all those swimming events assigned by my coach. I was too busy and very engaged taking pictures of my teammates either swimming or just modeling and my surroundings. I discovered my genuine interest and passion for photography. From the moment I started scheduling for photoshoots in every Olympic pool in Puerto Rico with my teammates, I figured that I had to communicate a message to Puerto Rico: Swimmers should be valued for their dedication to the sport and what one can learn by belonging to a team.
Today, I make art with topics that seem important to discuss and argue with my surroundings.
